Let me repeat myself.

OPPOSE! WE NEED LESS GOVERNMENT AND MORE COMON SENSE!

The energy companies are raking in record profits! Let them use some of those profits for exploration!

No need for incentives for oil companies - they have plenty of money from record breaking profits to actually increase the amount of exploration they do.

No way. Why give them more money when their pockets are bulging with excess profits. It's in their own best interest to explore all the time and they don't need an incentive from the government.

What on earth for? Don't you think that today's oil prices provide enough incentive.

What is the next industry that will be asking for government handouts. Government subsidies and free enterprise don't mutually exist.

You've got to be kidding! At current prices, oil companies don't need more incentives to find more oil. What the government can do is get out of the way in drilling where oil is known to be, e.g. portions of the Arctice Reserve and off-shore.
