Toyota execs seem to be going to countries all over the world to deal with this issue - except for Japan. Because of the very pro-business stance in Japan, they don't have to apologize to the people in Japan about the problems with their cars!

The toy company needs to start showing that they are serious about fixing any problems. Get a team in there to do diagnostic research and not just some stuffed shirt making suggestions.

TRAIN RIDER,

Who do you think the new execs should be?

Also, why do you think that our president should be the one to decide.

After all don't we all want to limit government in our lives?"

The media, which relies on fear mongering wins again by selling stories.

In a few weeks we will be beyond the Toyota story and onto another fear factor that we live with on a daily basis.

But, who wins with all promotion of our fears?

(Oh my goodness, the price of gas is going up again . . . or down . . . and again up. . . ) . . . and on and on.

In Japan, the media lays the blame on the U.S. government, claiming that the U.S. is trying to derail Toyota and boost American auto companies. There might be some truth to that, but I believe that Toyota shares the blame in their downfall. - not unreasonable

yeah I think there's some truth to that.... about the Government letting it get way out of hand, knowing that the eventual bad Pub for Toyota would make american brands look better..... and that they just didn't care...

I don't think Toyota's problems are nearly as bad as the media makes them out to be.
